Hi, I'm Brigette ⋆
Endorphin Enthusiast is a product of my lifelong fitness journey — from day one and beyond.
When it comes to finding excitement in exercise, I would say I'm a late bloomer. I was one of those sixth graders who would hide in the bathroom during mile days just because I didn't think I was capable of doing it. And it wasn't until I entered adulthood that I made a conscious decision to start this fitness journey of mine.
Just my 18-year-old self and my orange yoga mat, inside my bedroom.
I recall sitting at the edge of my bed, having to mentally prepare myself to do basic ab workouts. It was always a struggle to get into the zone, but deep down I knew I needed to push myself. This mental preparation routine in my bedroom carried on, even after I got a membership at 24 Hour Fitness, just down the street from my house. I could even walk there if I wanted to, but the hardest part was putting on my workout clothes and getting myself to the gym.

Fast forward almost a decade later: I'm obsessed with trying out new workout studios, I've become a regular at roughly a dozen gyms in my area, and I practically live in matching workout sets.
I've learned many things along the way, but the one thing I constantly have to remind myself is that progress doesn't happen overnight. On days that I feel like I don't have any energy, I look back at those times sitting in my room — playing a mental game of tug-of-war — pulling back and forth between, "I can do this" and "I'm too lazy." When I recall the beginning of my fitness journey, choosing between my orange yoga mat and my bed, I always come to the realization that I truly have come a long way.
The only thing to do is keep moving forward.
Stick around to get inside my head, and hopefully get inspired to get your sweat on too!
